Enrique Gil, Philippine Showbiz's "Dougie King" and one of today's most in-demand young actor, is set to invade the Smart-Araneta Coliseum on November 29 as he brings down his own swag and amuse his supporters at his first ever concert titled "King of the Gil."
"Everyone can expect the best of me in the concert because I will do everything that will make them stand up, dance and enjoy the night. I will definitely teach you how to dougie and much much more!," Enrique promised about his upcoming show produced by Star Events and ABS-CBN.
The 21-year old lad owns up that the discovery of his extraordinary talent in dancing is truly unexpected. His appearance in Gandang Gabi Vice where he was asked to perform the hit dance "Teach Me How to Dougie" trended on Twitter worldwide, earned him the title "Dougie King." Few months after, he once again thrilled the Filipinos with his signature moves as he danced to Psy's "Gentleman" at Vice Ganda's Concert in Araneta, which also gave him the title, "Gentleman King."
When asked what makes his dance moves unique and why they are always a hit, Enrique couldn't quite answer directly as he also has no clear answer about it. He has always been passionate about dancing and he just ensures that he enjoys doing it while at the same time, trying to make his audience enjoy the music as much as he does. His small but noticeable gestures while dancing such as lip-biting and tongue-showing come out naturally, and are just signs that he's really feeling the music and the moment.
A self-confessed music lover, Enrique couldn’t imagine life without music. As the newest dance idol today, he also wants to have a dance number with the country's one and only Gary V., and also dreams of sharing the dance floor with his idol, Chris Brown.
As he is creating fuzz in the world of dancing, Enrique's acting career is also soaring high. With nonstop leading man roles in various hit drama series such as Mula Sa Puso, Mara Clara, Budoy, Princess and I and the recently concluded Muling Buksan ang Puso; to blockbuster movies such as The Reunion and She's The One, there's no reason for Enrique to stop acting and just focus on dancing.
Just like any other actors, Enrique wants to be versatile and doesn’t want to explore on just one craft, but admits that it has to be acting which he wanted to give more focus. Though it might be cool to be dancing, singing (he also has an album), and acting at the same time, Enrique believes that it's his acting career that is most likely to lead him somewhere.
Catch Enrique as he fires up the night with his superb dance moves along with special guests Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Young JV, Rayver Cruz, Rico Blanco, Gloc 9, Arjo Atayde, Arron Villaflor, Martin Del Rosario, Ejay Falcon, Kim Chiu, Vice Ganda and Angel Locsin. He will also share the dance floor with his "Princess and I" co-star Kathryn Bernardo and "Muling Buksan ang Puso" leading lady, Julia Montes. Also sharing their killer choreography are Streetboys and G-Force.
