Come and Get Aljur

Unknown to many, Starstruck's Ultimate Hunk and Kapuso Leading Man Aljur Abrenica has a great passion for singing. In fact, he shared during an intimate lunch with him that he learned to love singing first more than acting.

Growing up from a family who loves music, and with his dad as a musician and a band member in their hometown, it is quite inevitable for Aljur to appreciate and embrace singing and music.

Humble and truly down-to-earth, the 23-year old Aljur reveals that the discovery of his knack for singing wasn't expected, and that he was also actually surprised by his talent. It was during his high school year when he was asked to join their school's Mr. Don Bosco Academy contest where he was required to perform for the pageant's talent portion. He recalled that he performed the classic "Macho Gwapito" and received several praises and admiration on his lovely voice and astonishing singing skill. From then on, he fondled on this newly found talent and continued to hone his craft in singing even more.

As one of the most frequently awarded Best Performer in GMA-7's Sunday All Stars and most sought after leading man, Aljur also confesses that he never thought he could get numerous appreciation for his dancing and acting skills. He credits his participation in GMA-7's variety shows and being able to dance with Mark Herras and the late Marky Cielo as the biggest influences on his major improvement as a dancer. In terms of acting, he is and will always be thankful for the workshops, projects and opportunities that his network is giving him for him to continuously improve his craft.

Being one of the country's most wanted hunks, Aljur now takes a break from acting and will treat his legions of admirers to a memorable night full of serenade and exciting production numbers. He will give you more reasons to adore him as he shares his night with his first love - singing, in an electrifying concert in Music Museum entitled Come and Get Me. Get to know him more personally as you witness him in a night he also considers as a way to thank and reach out to his loyal supporters.

Aljur promises unforgettable and powerful production numbers along with his guests, younger brother and Artista Academy winner Vin Abrenica, Rochelle Pangilinan, Julie Anne San Jose and of course, his love tandem, Kris Bernal. As part of his preparation, Aljur also gives up some of his leisure and chooses to spend his free time rehearsing for the concert.

Asked if there is a surprise guest, which everyone expects to be his real-life love interest Kylie Padilla, he simply smiled and admitted that he would really be happy if Kylie could come, but will totally understand if her schedule won't permit her.

Aside from his dad, Aljur mentions Bruno Mars, Adam Levine and Gary Valenciano as the famous musicians he admires; and wishes to have a duet someday with Ariana Grande. He normally sings pop, pop-rock and rnb, but also loves to sing Bon Jovi and Harem Scarem hits.

Aljur is also set to launch his new album either before the year ends, or early next year. With this lined up, the upcoming Come and Get Me concert is definitely the perfect avenue for everyone to see how talented and how lovely of a singer Aljur is.

He will once again prove his worth in the entertainment industry not just as a hunky heartthrob, but also as a mighty crooner. Knowing how talented and daring Aljur is as a performer, and as someone who gives his 100% on-stage, Aljur will certainly make the Come and Get Me concert unforgettable.
