Lovi Poe is Rocco Nacino's Bride

From the very successful run of his last teleserye, The Good Daughter with Kylie Padilla, whose finale episode earned the highest ratings for an afternoon drama, Rocco Nacino returns on GMA Afternoon Prime as Justin Ramirez on GMA’s latest offering, Yesterday’s Bride.

Rocco and Lovi plays husband and wife in their new series.

After playing a rebellious son in The Good Daughter, Rocco now takes another challenging mature role as a loving husband to his new onscreen partner, the multi-awarded actress, Lovi Poe. Though this isn’t their first time to be paired together, Rocco still feels a bit nervous to work again with the renowned actress. He said their first show together, Love Bug, which was shown 2 years ago, was a romantic comedy while their new project together is a serious drama, so he has to take his acting completely different and with a more serious approach.

With the awards he won from various award-giving bodies, it is quite evident that Rocco has definitely veered away from teeny-bopper roles and has elevated his star status into a real leading man. In Yesterday’s Bride, he and Lovi will become parents and intimate scenes are inevitable. To prepare himself with this mature role and to parallel his partner’s performance, Rocco ensures to undergo acting workshops and study his role whenever he’s free.

Aside from the lead stars Rocco and Lovi, Yesterday’s Bride is supported by a stellar cast including Luis Alandy, Karel Marquez, Emilio Garcia, Racquel Villavicencio, Lou Sison, Ken Chan, and the come-backing actress, Ara Mina.

To be directed by Gil Tejada, Yesterday’s Bride will start airing on October 29, 2012, after Eat Bulaga.
