The long wait is finally over! After 3 long years, the popular rock band, Callalily has officially released their newest offering to the Pinoy music lovers, a big thanks to their new label who made this possible, Universal Records. See my previous post here.
The much-anticipated album, FLOWER POWER has been finally heard by the rock band’s fans and the entire nation as they launched it through a rocking concert in Eastwood Central Plaza in Libis, Quezon City last Friday, October 12.
Everyone who bought a copy of the CD during the launch in Eastwood also took home with them some exclusive Callalily merchandise such as guitar picks, posters and even Callalily shirts! Awesome treat, right?
The sponsors also had their booths at the venue and added fun and excitement. You can register account and download music at the mymusicstore.com.ph booth. There are also sexy ladies offering free drinks courtesy of GSM Blue Light. These are all for free (except the ladies, of course). Wow!
Before the show started, we went backstage to see how the guys were doing and had some fun time with them. Kean, Tatsi, Aaron and Lem, in their most friendly (as usual) gestures, can’t hide their excitement to play their music and bond with their keen fans. They graced everyone who took photos of them, signed every poster, and signed all CDs that came their way.

Surprisingly, Kean’s co-star in Ang Babae sa Septic Tank, multi-awarded actress, Eugene Domingo, appeared at the backstage, to show support to his co-actor’s band. It was such a splendid sight to have a multi-awarded actress sparing her precious time to support a great band. Her visit definitely inspired the boys to perform even better.

Then finally, the band went up the stage and made the shrieking fans scream even louder as they performed their first number. To open the night’s concert, they played one of the songs in their newest album, “Buhay” which was composed by Tatsi himself, followed by one of their earliest hits, “Stars.”
They definitely rocked Eastwood! Kean, as always, was a great performer – there’s no question to that. He certainly knows how to please the crowd and burn down the house. Tatsi joined Kean as he also did some vocals on some of their renditions. Aaron on bass and Lem on drums certainly are one of the best in the instruments they played! Callalily definitely rocks!
To cap their concert, they performed the album’s carrier single “Pasasalamat” which is currently topping various charts in the country, may it be on the radio, music channels, or even online polls.
After their astounding performance, they generously signed the CDs bought by the dedicated fans.
With their passion, dedication and love for Pinoy music, and with the way they show their love and appreciation to their fans, Callalily is indeed one heck of a band. They are definitely an outstanding addition to the Philippine music industry. Cheers to more years of great music, Callalily!!
